Etiquette
If you are not delivering your rock or up next, please stand between the hog lines. That way, you are not in anyone’s line of sight or distracting the person in the hack getting ready to deliver their rock.
Terminology
Hack – the foothold in the ice you use to push off from when you deliver the rock. Also a degree of weight the skip may ask for, that is, when the skip says to thrown the rock “hack weight” – that means to throw the rock such that it would go as far as the hack without sweeping.
